Darlene Kerstetter

Darlene Kerstetter is the Corporate Sales Manager for Scott Enterprise. She has been with the company for over 15 years and currently helps to sell everything that Scott Enterprises owns including (but not limited to) Splash Lagoon and Peek’n Peak Resort! Her many years of sales experience, along with her extensive knowledge of the company and years of dedicated customer service make her a valuable asset to the company. And when Darlene is not in the office, she can usually be found in the casino or spending time with her husband of 25 years and their two grandchildren.

Laurie Woolslayer

Laurie Woolslayer currently serves as a Scott Enterprises Corporate Sales Manager, the Tour and Travel Manager for Motorcoach and Director of Sales for the Hilton Garden Inn. She graduated with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Speech Communications and minor in Psychology from Edinboro University of Pennsylvania. She is also a graduate of the Hilton University. Laurie was the recipient of the 2012 Pauline Scott Award, as well as the 2013 Top Sales award. She has been with Scott Enterprises since 2009, and is known for her positive energy and her dedication to being a team player. When Laurie is not at work, she enjoys spending time with her family, friends, and her 2 dogs.

Chris Work

Chris Work is the Director of Food and Beverage for Scott Enterprises. He is Food Safety Certified, RAMP Certified, CPR Certified and has been with the company for 20 years! Chris always does everything in his power to go above and beyond what is asked of him and is always striving to be the best, while constantly stretching himself to learn and grow in all areas. Chris also serves as the Chairman of Scott Enterprise’s Promise to Care and Deliver committee. When not at work, Chris enjoys spending time with his wife and six kids, as well as playing and coaching hockey and being active in church and community services.

Emily Vommaro

Emily Vommaro is the Convention Sales Manager for Scott Enterprises and Director of Sales for our Holiday Inn Express and Suites. She graduated with honors from Penn State University with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Communications. Emily was welcomed at Scott Enterprises in 2010 as a Wedding and Social Coordinator after hosting her wedding reception in the Ambassador Center’s Garden Atrium. After three years in the Wedding and Social Department, Emily was promoted to the role of Corporate Sales Manager for our Corporate Sales Office. Most recently, Emily became our Convention Sales Manager for Scott Enterprises handling the association and government markets.

Emily is well-rounded when it comes to the hospitality field and it is her goal that every client’s needs are met to their highest expectation. When Emily is not at work, she spends time with her family. She enjoys spending her evenings and weekends with her husband, two children and three dogs.

Manuel (Manny) Morales

Manny started in the food service industry 24 years ago. He is a high-end food service banquet and catering chef. He has been with Scott Enterprises for 10 years and assumed the position of Executive Chef 5 years ago. Manny’s passion and love for cooking shows in the dishes he prepares. Manny has received various awards over his years and continues to raise the bar. Manny has loved working with The Ambassador since he walked in the door. He enjoys the closeness of the team and the friendly environment it provides. Manny possesses a true love and heart for cooking and it shows in every dish he prepares. Known for his creative and delicious menus for all the events The Ambassador hosts. There is no request Manny cannot provide for! In his free time, Manny enjoys fishing, spending time with his family and watching a great movie.

Sarah DeFranco

Sarah DeFranco is the Wedding & Social Events Manager for The Ambassador Center and Scott Enterprises. She graduated from Clarion University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Communications and Mass Media Studies with a concentration in Advertising. Sarah found her way to The Ambassador in 2014, after having her wedding ceremony and reception here. She started at The Ambassador as the Wedding and Social Coordinator, eventually taking on corporate events as well. Sarah loves detailing and planning events and strives to make each and every one as perfect as it can be. Outside of work, Sarah enjoys spending time with her husband and son.

Carolyn Miaczynski

Carolyn Miaczynski was most recently an Administrative Assistant in Scott Enterprises Sales Office. She began her career with Scott Enterprises on the Hotel Operations side where she worked in the housekeeping and front office departments, and was a Manager on Duty at the Hilton Garden Inn, Courtyard by Marriott and the Residence Inn. She interned in Scott Enterprises Corporate Sales for 3 months where she discovered how much she truly enjoyed the sales atmosphere. Carolyn has her B.S. Degree in Resort Recreation and Hospitality Management with a Minor in Business Administration from Slippery Rock University. She loves working in the hospitality industry and comes prepared each day to deliver excellent customer service and to engage and learn from her coworkers. When she is not at work, she enjoys listening to music and spend time with family and friends.

Tom Jakobic

Tom has been with Scott Enterprises for 8 years, and is currently the Banquet Manager for the Ambassador Center. Tom started as the Assistant F&B Manager at Splash Lagoon, then was promoted to the F&B Manager where he helped Splash Lagoon create record sales in 2013 and 2014. He was awarded “Operations Manager of the Year” by Scott Enterprises in 2014. Previous to Splash, he worked at Metz & Associates at Gannon University for 5 years. Tom is a graduate of Sycamore High School in Cincinnati where he was playing ice hockey for the Cincinnati Cobras Junior B Team. Before that, Tom attended Iroquois High School in Erie. Tom’s hockey career went to Pittsburgh, where he played for the Junior Pens before he came back to Erie and work at Gannon. Tom and his wife Danielle have three children, Mackenzie, Addison and Maxius.

Jennilea Curtis

Jennilea has been with Scott Enterprises for 3 years, starting at the Courtyard Marriott. She was working as a front desk associate and then became a manager on duty at the courtyard. After 3 years she came into the sales department as the events coordinator. She loves working on her events, getting to know the clients and making sure it is nothing below perfection! Jennilea studied at Indiana University of Pennsylvania and graduated with honors from the Health and Human services department with a Bachelor of Science in Hospitality Management with a concentration on food and beverage management. She graduated in the top 10 of her class and was also a tutor and mentor for incoming students in the health and human services department. She started in the hospitality industry when she started doing catering for her church at the age of 14, where they catered for weddings, bridal showers, and baby showers! During her free time, she likes to spend time on her family dairy farm, going camping and fishing with her friends, she also enjoys taking on DIY projects in her house! Jennilea is charismatic person with an outgoing personality, who loves taking on new challenges.

Megan Eckroat

Megan joined the Scott team in 2018 as a Corporate Sales Manager. Originally from South Bend, Ind., she graduated from Indiana State University with a degree in Recreation Sports Management. She began her career with Marriott International in 2007 as a Guest Service Representative at the South Bend Marriott. In 2008, she transferred to the Marco Island (Fla.) Marriott as a Recreation Supervisor. As part of the highest-ranked Recreation Department in the company, she learned how to exceed guest expectations and create an unforgettable experience. After nearly five years, she returned to South Bend to take a position as a Sales Manager at the Hilton Garden Inn and Gillespie Conference Center, where she sold, booked, and facilitated weddings, as well as corporate and nonprofit events. Megan moved to Erie in 2017 after marrying her husband, an Erie native. When not a work, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, running, and exploring all the wonderful things Erie has to offer.
